aroceu & necessarian challenge writing ground: currently, we are doing a 2021 Bingo challenge. We have given each other/ourselves bingo cards for the year as writing goals. (See rules below.) We will also do monthly challenges to help us with that inspiration.
List of our bingo slots, all of which we discussed/agreed upon together to put on our bingo cards: Marriage, Kink, Title A Lyric From A Meme Song, Title: too high (can't come down), Recycle Old Idea For A Previous Fandom/Fic, Crack (Optional: Taken Seriously), No Dialogue, Established Relationship (Stealth), Amnesia (Stealth), Reincarnation (Stealth), All 4 Elements As Themes, aroceu Prompt Generator Multi Prompt, Worldbuilding, Problematic, Alternating POV, 5+1, Multimedia, One Day, A Season, Crossover Fusion, Past Tense, Song Plot Fic, Huddling For Warmth, Peripheral POV
(Some of these only mean something to us and are referred to as such in shorthand to easily fit on the bingo card.)
General Rules:
1. Any fic we write to qualify for a bingo slot has a hard lower limit of 1,000w. No upper limit.
2. One fic may qualify for more than one bingo slot. However, each added bingo slot for a fic also adds 5,000w minimum to the fic. For example, if a fic is to cover 2 bingo slots, it must be at least 6k; to cover at least 3, it must be at least 11k; and so on.
3. Our minimal annual goal is to get at least one bingo. Our overambitious goal (for the both of us) is to get a bingo blackout.
4. Optional: We may use comments on our respective bingo cards to write/post updates. We may also link the fic in the bingo card or comments and/or cover up a slot when we're done with it.
